Was fandom better pre 2020? Yes. Was fandom better pre 2016? Yes. But before that? Honestly? Great. The early peak of the tumblr era (2010~ to 2014) was amazing for online fandom, and even 2005-2010 was amazing- and 2016 should look familiar: antis did not exist pre-Trumpism.

@Once_A_Light Can you believe I actually once rooted for Kaname/Ruka? I mean her other possible ship was also cute but perhaps it would've been loads better than what we got. Kaname x anyone not Yuuki would've been better honestly. Yuuki herself is not shippable to anyone. 💀

Sometimes I wish my rarepairs had larger fandoms just for the sake of more fanwork, but then I look at the other big ship fandoms, and I come to my senses. Our faves are not mischaracterised, we don't have bs discourse, we love all parties involved, I love our little bubbles 🥰
