@Nixie_North I do not use any VR or full-body tracker (I would be so dizzy😵‍💫). It's just a clever use of weaving pre-made animations with keybinds to trigger it. I do have face-tracking enabled but it doesn't affect anything.

I programmed my VTuber model to perform actions based on controller input with various attack and dodge animations, etc. in Dark Souls! I use Warudo and various Unity assets/animations. Live now and I'm always happy to answer any questions about my setup!

@RandomArtist55 Everything is free! My model is made in Vroid. I use Warudo and Unity. Assets/animations are all free from the Unity asset store and other game dev oriented platforms. If you want to spend money on assets/animations it’s up to you.

@elvhari This Dark Souls setup is for controller currently. But it’s totally doable to change the input to keyboard instead in blueprints (you’ll lose the joystick rotation tho). Like in my Resident Evil 1 stream series, I use a mouse and keyboard version: youtube.com/live/GWpf2n0oX…

@ElaraVtuber It’s not too hard to setup! Just need Warudo, Unity, and various animations/assets (lots of free ones for game dev). Then you just need to map all your keybinds to animations and do some math to calculate joystick rotation. More details in my Discord & Dark Souls VODs.

@Nhraege @BedeeliaVT I explain in more detail in my VOD, but I use Warudo. Weapons are simply props attached to my hand bone. Warudo is reading my inputs and performing corresponding actions via blueprints. I also sometimes adjust weapons’ transform mid-animation to avoid clipping.

@seraclin @BedeeliaVT What do you use to have weapons equipped to your model? Or to sync it to the controller input?

@Ynixix Yep it’s free animations imported into Unity then exported to Warudo. The turning is just rotating the model based on the XY position of the joystick. It took some trigonometry to calculate. Then I blend a run animation masked to the lower body. I explain it more in the VOD.

@seraclin That's really interesting! I know there's poses and animations you can import into warudo. Is that what's happening here? If so, it means I'm curious how the camera is working lol. Or maybe it's less the camera, and more model turning controls? cool regardless, very creative

@Scarlet_BelleVr I don't have any full-body tracking being applied in the video. It's purely just inputs and animations. I don't stream with full-body as it's too janky (only have a webcam atm) and use only face-tracking for my usual streams, so I thought this would be a nice change of pace.

@seraclin This is neat but I guess it would only be cool if you dont want to use your full body setup. It feels very uncanny to stream without it to me.

Showcased my 2.0 VTuber model update (model made by me) yesterday with a 3d stream in the backrooms. I used XR Animator (webcam) + Warudo. You can finally see how much more I move around compared to my normal streams. (don't ask about the Prinny🐧)
