@jeffreynewsbr Fans also have this parasocial relationship with him, thinking they have every right to know everything that happens in his life. He’s a celebrity, we see what he wants us to see, we’re not obliged to see anything beyond it. Why are people so entitled to other peoples lives??

Someone sent me a post that has the writing of "someone get this man (Jeffrey) a bed and some good nights sleep". And honestly, it got me thinking. The hypocrisy within parts of this fandom is almost impressive. One minute he's the most handsome man in the world and people are shipping him with his coworker, the next, he's "ugly, old, and tired." People complain he's absent from social media, while simultaneously creating AI images of him with co-starsas if they were a real couple, editing his wedding photos, and even dragging his daughter into it. And then there's the other side, the ones who seem to genuinely believe Jeffrey IS Negan. Here's the thing: Jeffrey is one of the rare actors who actually loves his fans. You can see it. He interacts, he pays attention, he shows up. How many celebrities can you say that about? And yet, the people who claim to love and admire him are often the same ones making his life harder, tagging him in fake edits, attacking him for giving everything to a role, never letting him just be a person. He's a man who has been happily married since 2019 with the same women he has been with since 2009, has two kids, built a beautiful life, and has never been involved in any scandal. That should be celebrated, not weaponized. We can see how much he's pulled back from social media compared to before. I don't think that's a coincidence. Most of us are adults. many 30 y/o and older. We can do better. We need to do better. It's getting ugly and shameful.
