@FCKNABEJEE Lmao what is the doula going to do if you start bleeding out or you have a 4th degree tear or you have a uterine rupture or even if the baby has a problem. Black women and babies will die at astronomical rates under your plan

every black woman needs a doula & needs to go back to having their babies at home. even in high risk situations i feel like doulas can learn skills to pivot them.
Blackish Press@blackishpress

Tatyana Ali (Ashley from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) spoke about the difficult pregnancy she had with her first child and the discrimination that Black women face during pregnancy “I had a really healthy pregnancy… and all of that changed once we got into the hospital. Our birth plan wasn't followed... I was also held down, my arms and legs," she continued, using the term “obstetric violence” to describe the experience she went through “I mean, I'll be real with you, they pushed him back inside me… that's what happened, my baby was all the way crowned, that’s not a real procedure.” “In my records, it shows that he goes from the lowest station, I saw his hair, I touched his hair, to the highest station and it doesn't say how that happened. It's an incredibly dangerous thing that they did; they could have snapped his neck, but this is after hours of them holding me down.” She added that her baby "couldn't pee on his own for a long time, about five or six days." “Actually, it was a pediatric urologist who was the only one who came to my side and said, ‘I saw what happened during your birth, the things that resulted in this emergency C-section.’ She said, ‘I think the traumatic nature of his birth is what is causing this,’ ” Ali recalled, revealing, “We [then] left [the hospital] in the middle of the night … we ran away." Black women suffer discrimination during pregnancy, and Ali made a point of emphasizing that “It's been happening for a very long time … black women are three to four times more likely to die in childbirth, and I think a lot of times people go, ‘Oh well, those are other health risks.’ Yes, that's in the mix of things, but there are incredible traumas that are also being experienced in the hospital when you're a black woman, an indigenous person, giving birth. The treatment is just totally different…” 🔗podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/tat…

i am extremely feminine and i am submissive, i am soft, i am sweet and it comes VERY naturally to me!! The thing is that you ugly b.*tches feel ashamed FOR NOT BEING FEMININE, and you want to give a new meaning to what is being feminine, and that meaning is being tough lmao

@SapphireStrange @GoAwayCaroline @yumestarion And these used to be normal well adjusted people who just wanted to try it. Weed is uniquely dangerous in that most ppl think it’s just some fun drug and will make a million excuses as to why they must smoke. At least the heroin and meth addicts know they have a problem

@SapphireStrange @GoAwayCaroline @yumestarion However you want to spin it, all this glorification of weed makes ppl think there’s no issue when they can’t go a day without it. All the ppl I know who use it are so extremely dependent on it to get through a day but will swear up and down they can quit whenever they want.

no exactly. i also dont understand why folks are willing to be bound by legal and finacial matters such as sharing a house, sharing bills, and/or having a kid, but think signing a marriage certificate is the end of the world.
half empty girl@meowingabyss

I'm not even religious but I'm generally unsympathetic to these complaints. You don't have to have a wedding but you don't get to have the benefits of a legal marriage if you don't get a legal marriage lol that's just how it works!

@ChefDomonique And nothing wrong with that. Everyone’s love should be conditional. If you had hitler 2.0 as your son, would you still love him? If the answer to that is fuck no, then your love is conditional

@EmmmieG @roserunaways Yes it literally will. Unmarried partners have no legal rights to anything from each other. They only have rights over things that were signed jointly (i.e mortgage, joint accounts). Personal assets can’t be split and alimony literally cannot be awarded if there was no marriage.

@Bonzombiekitty @cetoki57778405 @madisontayt_ Not all schools are that good. One time, I had no lunch money and I asked the till ppl to call my mum and they refused. If I didn't have my phone, I would've just had to go hungry bc evidently my school was okay with letting children starve

@roserunaways Their mother has zero responsibility for that girl and her baby. She only has responsibility for OP and she obviously did good by making it clear teen pregnancy never goes well.

@sikkinouza That’s one of the dumbest reasons to not want to talk to your own mum lol as if it was her baby to abandon. Teens shouldn’t be guilted into supporting their friends’ fuckups.

@podecacau A lot of the time, I hate other people's pie if they express their joy for their pie openly. Even if it might be a good pie. sometimes it feels like a bad pie. Especially if one of the pie makers is someone close to me and the other is someone I don't know who's part of some..

@Aldron_ @briarmaycry3SE @jessalinecaine @weinerdowg The baby will be affected. All the research articles I’ve read through says baby will be born way smaller than normal or be stillborn and risk of preterm labour is increased which is instant death for baby. Some articles even say brain damage can happen possibly bc of hypoxia.

mujik@Aldron_·
@briarmaycry3SE @jessalinecaine @weinerdowg It should be considered a form of self-harm since the baby will not get affected whatsoever while the mother will become a husk of her former self, you cannot hurt it in a way that matters by starving yourself

@mitteiy Arab women are one of the worst perpetuators of patriarchy and misogyny. Does that mean Arab women should also be excluded since they're oppressors to their daughters? If all this exclusion keeps happening then who is feminism for?

@mitteiy But if we don't also support The Bad Women, feminism would never get anywhere. In Africa it's women who do fgm and all sorts of mutilation to their daughters, does that mean African women aren't included in our feminism bc they're also abusers?

Feminism isn't a sorority where we blindly support women abeg If you are actively working to aid systems that cause and uphold patriarchal violence I am excluding you as the enemy.

@HugeBigGuy1234 @Dannykfrombrook @muixyui They said Arabs are the white Europeans OF the Middle East meaning Arabs are also colonisers just like the white Europeans are. Not that they colonised the Middle East. Illiteracy is still indeed a very big problem it seems.

@vyturna @sw33tsir3n And also you did say shaving isn’t a big deal bc it just grows back. If hair grows back, then (following your logic w the shaving) if a bully starts bullying your child for their curly hair, then they might as well just relax it so there’s no more bullying.
