being an “out girl” has given me the social equivalent of incel pattern recognition. i don’t resent the “in girls,” nor do i feel entitled to their acceptance. but i’ve spent years watching some women move effortlessly through big, enduring friend groups while others of us can be liked one-on-one and still remain peripheral. after enough rejection, you start wondering which parts of the invisible rubric you keep failing: warmth, beauty, sameness, status, timing, social proof. when belonging comes naturally to everyone else, you start studying the hierarchy because nobody will tell you the rules.






They’re just the only ones trying to do anything to solve any modern problems. I’m not even one of these people to be clear. It just seems like everyone else either wants to go back in time which isn’t possible or for everything to stay exactly the same Maybe the only other people I can think of who have any vision for the future is far left people who want a socialist utopia. But socialism doesn’t work
