@LagrimaChristi lol, where do the stars go? Do they slam into the ground and re-appear again due to magic?
On one hand, flat earthers love to mention the "spinning ball" to ridicule the globe (i.e. reality). on the other hand however, these magic and pathetic "models" are created.
English

Show me the model!
Here is the model:

Świadomy Wodnik CONSCIOUS AQUARIUS@SwiadomyWodnik
Ten nowy konceptualny model płaskiej Ziemi jest rewolucyjny. Pozwala przełączać się pomiędzy oglądaniem całego systemu planetarnego Ziemi z góry a oglądaniem go jako obserwatora na ziemi z ograniczeniami perspektywy.
English

@GroveStudios7 @FlerfWatch How close are they? And if stars are close objects, then their constellations should change in size depending on where you are. But they don't. They always have the same size on the sky.
English

Welcome to the new kid on the block! You have much to learn. Do you understand yet that the flat earth world view has stars as close objects? eg Polaris is not hundreds of light years away and has a circumference of over 200 million kms, like it is required to have for the globe world view to work.
English

@BrockRiddickIFB Moon Radius: 1740km
Earth-Moon distance: 384000km
Take the ratio and square it, because light gets dimmer with distance squared. Lets see:
384000/1740 = 220.7
220.7^2 = 48700
Pretty much exactly the expected ratio with less than 1% deviation, which is due to rounding.
English

@AdonaiOnGaia It doesn't start to swing on its own. Nobody claims that. The reason a Foucault pendulum proves Earth's rotation is not that it is supposed to start swinging magically, but that its alignment slowly changes after it is set in motion.
English

@Keetb999k The angle of Polaris above the horizon corresponds to your latitude. Perspective cannot do that. Also, Polaris vanishes if you cross the equator southwards. Perspective cannot do that.
English

@RiekkiSara76483 @wwarrior_1 Well, Eve is based of a real model. Not "completely overblown". Hot woman do actually exist.
English

@seriousfun404 @wwarrior_1 I do think Leon's portrayal in RE 9 was somewhat overdone, but I'd be willing to give it a pass since he's pretty much the only character who was actually made as fanservice for women, instead of all the others which were made for men. Plus he wasn't completely overblown.
English

uh, yeah
heaven forbid attractive women in sexy attire are in your video game
if you are a mixtape fan you wouldn't be familiar because there are no such women and the video game is a video
✨♐🎮 MystyxSama 🎮♐✨@MystyxSama
@MinEffortLive And this is a video game...right? 🤣
English

@RiekkiSara76483 @wwarrior_1 Yes, Baldurs Gate 3 basically uses a famous and well known IP, which helps a lot. Everything from my previous statement still stands as is.
English

@seriousfun404 @wwarrior_1 1) Oh please. The definition of woke is so vague it can cover anything.
Baldur's Gate 3 had a ton of player-sexual characters, heck, even a fucking bear and a tentacle monster. Not to mention referencing modern dating, consent and political themes not fit for fantasy.
English

@RiekkiSara76483 @wwarrior_1 If criticism is primarily targeted towards fanservice on female characters it is a double standard. If directed towards both male and female, I would respect that. I would have a different opinion, but that's fine. 👍
English

@seriousfun404 @wwarrior_1 What about my opinion? I've been playing video games for over 30 years now.
English

@RiekkiSara76483 @wwarrior_1 Pattern: Regular woke game failures (especially if they don't use an already established IP); Successes from eastern games who don't shy away from fanservice.
Numbers: 1348 Ex Voto with over 100k wishlisted, but peak player count only 4xx
Virtue signalling is easy.
English

@seriousfun404 @wwarrior_1 Also, do you have statistics on how many people criticising play or don't play the games?
English

@RiekkiSara76483 @wwarrior_1 (1) Because players are the customers who actually buy the games and pay money for it.
(2) Doesn't change the hypocrisy.
English

@seriousfun404 @wwarrior_1 1) Why is this relevant?
2) They also complain about various ethics issues. Anyone can criticise anything.
English

@RiekkiSara76483 @wwarrior_1 (1) One side contains a higher fraction of actual players.
(2) One side contains a higher fraction of hypocrites who only complain about fanservice when it is a hot woman.
English

@seriousfun404 @wwarrior_1 1) And every time there's a female character with anything less than a sex bomb, like with Grace from RE 9, the usual suspects would scream woke.
All that matters in this context is our subjective opinions. I respect your opinion of it having good gameplay, which, if you look,
English

@RiekkiSara76483 @wwarrior_1 And Stellar Blade is a good action game with a hot protagonist. As I said: If Bayonetta came out today, the usual suspects would cry about it. Like every single time when a new female protagonist design dares to show curves.
English

@seriousfun404 @wwarrior_1 1) Bayonetta carried her sexuality in a mature way. It fit the world and she was a character beyond her attractiveness.
Lara Croft had plenty going on as well.
The story and theme of Nier Automata was the centerpiece of the game.
Not sure who the remaining ones are. What's
English

@RiekkiSara76483 @wwarrior_1 If Bayonetta came out today, the usual suspects would cry about it. It happens basically every single time when a new female protagonist design dares to show curves.
English

@seriousfun404 @wwarrior_1 1) I played it a bit. The gameplay didn't dazzle me and from what I've heard, the story wasn't anything special.
And yeah, sexy character design and good gameplay can work very well together. Look at Bayonetta.
I just haven't seen anyone mention anything about Stellar Blade
English

@seriousfun404 @wwarrior_1 I don't mind characters like Bayonetta, Jill Valentine, Trisha or many, many others. All are attractive female fit in the stories and settings they portray and have other stuff going on besides tits and ass.
"as long as it's done tastefully" is as subjective as it gets.
English

@RiekkiSara76483 @wwarrior_1 Sexy character design and good gameplay is not mutually exclusive. And hot characters (both male and female) were quite normal in games till activists changed that. Also, given that you don't know anything besides the fan-service, I guess you are not playing Stellar Blade
English

@seriousfun404 @wwarrior_1 2) Just a sexy picture of Eve and "gaming's so back".
What does that even mean? Is there even anything in the game beyond the fan service?
If your gameplay and story and such are average and you compensate it with a sexy model main character, then I consider the game bad.
English

@RiekkiSara76483 @wwarrior_1 The discussions evolve a lot about Eve's design, because there are a lot of hypocrites (in many cases not even players), who cry about her (or basically any hot female design).
"...as long as it's done tastefully" is one of the typical phrases of these complainers.
English

@seriousfun404 @wwarrior_1 1) I'm not against fan service in general as long as it's done tastefully. This is definitely toeing the line for me. And more to the point, out of all the people I've seen talking about the game, nobody seems to mention the gameplay or the story or anything else about the game.
English

@RiekkiSara76483 @wwarrior_1 Sure. That is perfectly fine if you play this game and if you are against fanservice in general (so not only against the one that is for males). Otherwise you are simply not the target-group, or you apply a double standard.
English

@seriousfun404 @wwarrior_1 Obviously I'm not. Just voicing my subjective opinion, just like everyone else here.
English
