@Clonehub7567 I’m genuinely shocked that TBB didn’t show some kind of mass Clone ‘retirement’ at blaster point. It’s not like Palps is shy about that kind of thing. There’s no world where he risks a clone rebellion.

The problem w a mass freeing of the clones is that even though they are a slave army, they don't view themselves as such. The star wars universe makes it clear that there's really 1 definition of slavery, and the clones don't fit that.

@Theoladeledada Why can’t we use this for pedophiles, Murderers and rapists? So unnecessarily expensive to carry out capital punishment.

This is how they do electric stunning for animals in slaughterhouses, and they die instantly.. There are so many details of human civilization that if we really looked closely at them, we’d be shocked.

@SandyofCthulhu Armor for defeating lasers is easier: maximize reflectivity while minimizing damage from intense heat. That storm trooper armor was seemingly so ineffective unveils imperial priorities: good armor must have been more expensive than new clones.

I have actually pondered this, and here is my reply: 1) helmets, as used in WW1 on up, do not stop a rifle bullet. Their purpose is not to stop direct hits, but to limit the effects of explosions, shrapnel hits, and glancing shots. I'm not sure if a blaster can do a "glancing shot" but presumably having the armor does protect from explosions and detritus, thus limiting the amount of injuries storm troopers take. 2) the storm trooper armor seems lightweight and portable, not like the heavy stuff we use with our lower technology, so it doesn't slow them down much. 3) if you look at the trooper armor image below, you can see that there are shapes embossed in the armor that clearly hold some tech. We all know about the helmet radios, but at the waist, hips, knees, and chest there are cut-outs which indicate something is there. I would expect that the tech installed there needs a little bit of rigidity to protect it. 4) we know that the armor lets you operate in a vacuum. That's not trivial, because they're not always in an oxy-nitro environment. Probably has heaters & air conditioners too. These reasons seem plenty to want to put armor on your troopers. Even if it won't stop a direct hit from a blaster bolt.

@SCShipyards The Pathway Drive is possibly based on Borg warp corridors, and the Borg don’t even need Nacelles.

@SCShipyards It’s entirely possible that warp cores have been sufficiently miniaturized that each nacelle has its own, and uses that for standard warp speeds, with each nacelle providing an individual bubble that works in harmony with the other to create a variable geometry warp system.

The trick here is that yes, even we used to spend hours going through the details penned out by people who have now, strangely, blocked me. But since there will never be technical drawings of NuTrek monstrosities, we have all that time to call them out as what they are: trash.

@SCShipyards I find it really funny how a bunch of people online are desperate to figure out how the detached hull components work. Multi-dimensional internal hull geometry, subspace hull structure, Dr. Who 'Timey-Wimey' hand waving, or just saying that 21st century minds can't comprehend it.

I bet they will stop doing this soon. They’ve literally just given you a precise recipe. Any sensible person will look at this and decide to just make it themselves whenever they need it

@GidiGambino no soldier clears like this. always fiction that is made to make people hate military. In reality they would do thermal scans even before setting foot inside. they always identify targets and threats first. even then they use non lethal stuff like flash bangs.

Free college is not "free." It has a cost. And that cost is passed onto you in taxes. Worse, when everyone has a degree, no one is special for it. It's just another generic resume item.
