After losing her only son to cancer in 2020, Spanish actress Ana Obregón became a mother again at 68. But the baby was not just her daughter. Her son, Aless Lequio, had frozen his sperm before starting chemotherapy. He died at 27, before he ever got the chance to become a father. Ana later used his sperm with a donor egg and a surrogate in the United States, where the baby was born in 2023. Legally, the baby girl is Ana’s daughter. Biologically, she is the daughter of Ana’s dead son, making her Ana’s granddaughter too. Ana said she was fulfilling Aless final wish to bring a child into the world.
