In November last year, when Priscilla* needed an apartment in Ibadan, someone referred an agent to her. After they met up and she inspected an apartment, she then made a full payment of 300k to the agent, and they agreed for her to move in December 1, 2024. Shortly after, the agent called her, claiming the house had been sold by his family members without his knowledge. To make matters worse, he refused to return the 300k, making promises, defaulting, and even threatening her. After concerted efforts from our legal team since she reached out in December, Priscilla* has now recovered her 300k rent in full.
