@NavinMozart Am imagining the theatre. People are fumbling to find their seats, walking between rows, stamping feet, doors being opened and closed, torch lights on both the sides all while this is playing...

@DefiledGod When we wanted to adopt a pet, we were afraid how the elders would take it. All of them said the same thing - jivatma like me, i could have been born a dog in any of my past lives... "

Sastras say that the wife can address the husband in singular in private. Kaamasastra says formalities are not needed during intimacy. Manusheshu cha sarveshu rati samaye na saastram na cha krama: Sita and Draupadi have also followed thus as evident in the VR and MB.

Hubby insisted initially that I call him tu. Like, dude, would've called you tu but look at your age!!! 😜😜😜 Jokes apart, there's rising trend of calling jamai by name, use tu - I have blanket ban on that in my mayka. Himmat kisi ki mere husband ko tu tadak kare! Use 'rao'.

some pointers on Gandharva Vivaha based on Manu smriti commentaries that might shed some light on its application to modern times. 1) This seems to be specifically permitted for the Kṣatriyas, as they are often involved in situations where spontaneous love arises (e.g., during hunts or battles). 2) once the union has occurred through mutual consent in this type, it is a binding social contract 3) recognition of human nature. The Smriti recognizes that passion is a reality, and by labeling it a Vivāha, it brings a spontaneous act under the umbrella of legal and social legitimacy provided it becomes a binding social contract after 4) although this is a valid marriage, it is ranked lower than the other types that are above this because it lacks the formal consent of the elders, which are seen as safeguards for the woman's long-term stability. 5) this marriage is seen as the direct pursuit of Kāma (Desire). However, for it to remain within Dharma, the couple must eventually perform the legal rites of the Gṛhastha to ensure that their pursuit of passion does not descend into social disorder.

@Balwantrao0104 Considered Married right?! They don't do any rituals mentioned in the surya sukta of the rig veda. That means back in the day a consented act of being intimate was considered as good as married. Do u understand where I am going with this?

No. Gandharva Vivaha is vivaha. That means after getting intimate the couple is considered married. Don't twist it's meaning to justify the whoring around that happens these days.
Geeta Dhumane@DhumaneGee99454

@Balwantrao0104 Wtf does that have to do with anything I said. All I saying is Gandharva Vivah is what we call being intimate before marriage in modern day... And there are various examples of that

Liberalism creates a faux justification for licentious and hedonistic behavior under a pretentious sense of equality that doesn’t actually exist. It has never really emancipated anyone. The Saatraic way will always reign supreme and time itself is a testament to this fact.
Kāvya Ushanas@KavyaUshanas

This is the #1 reason why young men scorn "Traditionalists". They're told to shoulder all responsibility but are denied any authority to compel behaviour, which scriptures grants them but these people deny. Negotiating as equals under Liberalism is far more dignified.

Many directors who wants to make films on Ramayana they fail to capture such essence. What audience wants is authentic representation based of bonafide scriptures. Its should not miss the essence of Ramayan keeping simplicity and devotion as pivot while using best technology to render the craft.

Fascinating concept from ancient Indian texts, specifically referencing the "Yantra Sarvasva" and "Viman Prakaran." These texts describe advanced flying machines, known as Vimanas, which are said to have existed in ancient times. The image mentions that one of these Vimanas could ascend to the Surya-Mandala (the solar realm) and travel at such incredible speeds that its sound could be heard from the ground. This description illustrates the advanced understanding of aerodynamics and technology that is believed to have existed in ancient India, according to these texts. The idea of such technology in ancient scriptures suggests that there was a profound knowledge of mechanics and the cosmos that modern science is only beginning to explore. Whether historical or symbolic, these accounts reflect a civilization that deeply valued exploration, innovation, and the mysteries of the universe.

The problem isn’t the VFX… it’s the imagination still stuck in 90s TV serial mindset 😂 And honestly, a section of the Indian audience still wants that 1988-style VFX nostalgia. People often quote #SatyajitRay saying India has a “backward audience”… maybe what he really meant was — India has a C audiance 😂😂 #Ramayana #RanbirKapoor

🚨 RAMAYANA DISCUSSION 🚨 - I zoomed in 5x on the shot of Pushpak Viman and the precision with which this shot has been taken is no less than a miracle.Everything is absolutely perfect, look at the coordination of Yash(ravana) with his shadow and the plane. It looks like a real plane🔥 - I agree that the monster scenes were not completely ready and since the teaser, only those things are being highlighted again and again as per an agenda and no one is talking about other great shots. - you should at least appreciate these types of shots.....stop being a blind hater👎

#Ramayana Interest in the Puṣpaka Vimāna has reached a new peak recently, especially with the release of the Rāmāyaṇa trailer, which features a cinematic reimagining of the Vimana. In V.R., we are introduced to this Vimana through the eyes of the Mahākapi. Read the article to find out more. x.com/sesharavind/st…

Valmiki calls her - श्रमणी शबरी / śramaṇī śabarī - Śabarī, the female ascetic The word Śrama means toil or effort. Vālmīki’s choice to hail Śabarī as Śramaṇī reveals the staggering depth of her discipline; her effort was the quiet, daily ritual of preparing for a guest who might not come that day, and which went on for decades, until the day Rāma came. Every single day for decades, she cleaned the path, gathered fresh flowers, and collected fruits. Our Acaryas note that her devotion was Nitya-Nūtanā (ever-fresh). She never felt "He didn't come yesterday, so He won't come today." Each morning was treated as the actual day of His arrival. In the sampradaya, she was the devoted attendant of the direct disciples of Sage Mataṅga, and her Bhāgavata-Kaiṅkaryam (service to the devotees of the Lord) is considered even higher than direct service to the Lord. Govindarah beautifully summarizes her position as परिचारिणी श्रमणी संन्यासिनी / paricāriṇī śramaṇī saṃnyāsinī Usually, a Paricāriṇī (One who performs service (Kaiṅkaryam)) and a Saṃnyāsinī (monk) are seen as different levels. One does physical work, the other meditates. By merging them, Govindarāja implies that for Śabarī, Service was her Meditation and the Waiting was her Tapas.

The disciple of Matanga Rishi, Shabri, was told by her Guru that she would not need to go anywhere to find God. He said that Shri Rama himself would come to her ashram. He told her that during his exile, while searching for Sita, Rama would pass through Dandakaranya and come to her humble place. She heard this in her young age. But she met Rama in her old age. Just think about that… the kind of trust and faith she held for so many years. This kind of faith can take a person to very high places. Somewhere, this is what feels missing in today’s adhyatma. #Ramayana

#Vivaha, #InstituitionOfMarriage, #VedicMarriage26 1/11 Pravesha Homam (also called Gruhapravesha Homam) is performed to welcome the newly-wed bride into her husband’s home. “Pravesha” means entry, and this homam sanctifies her first entry after marriage, invoking auspiciousness and harmony for her new life in the groom’s household. Many of the mantras chanted during the Vivaha Homa are repeated in this ritual as well. In addition, several other mantras are recited, including the following

The tri-ratra brahmacharya is the preparation for the garba-dhana samskara. The newlywed couple observes a vow of continence for a certain period of time under trying circumstances. Both have to eat food without salt, sleep on the floor or on the same bed, and display self-control of thought and action amidst temptation. Baudhayana states that this period should be 3 days if the couple want to beget a srotriya(one who has studied one shakha), 12 days to beget an anuchana(one who has studied the veda angas), 1 month for a rishikalpa(who has studies the sutras), 4 months for a bhruna, 6 months to beget a rshi(who has studied the 4 vedas), and one year to beget a deva(one who has passed beyond these stages) each displaying higher and higher capacities for acquisition of spiritual knowledge. This is the lofty ideal behind following the tri-rra brahmacharya.

In fact, there is a requirement that consummation of marriage is NEVER done on the day of marriage. It is supposed to be delayed (3 nights … maybe far more, sadhakas of old times would delay even more if necessary ). Maybe one reason is that Vivaha is a 7th house matter and sexual activity is a 12th house matter and the 12th house is 6th (6th house of Ripu/ Rina/ etc ) from the 7th house… therefore when there is some control on 12th house matters, 7th house of marriage and power of that marriage are likely to prosper!
N@NaushaGhalib

The prohibition on cohabitation for three nights is shāstrika requirement and is duly noted in the grihya texts.
