Maybe if subnautica 2 had a tongue battling mini game with fish it could've gotten a higher score

Definitely is the best way to go about considering getting into Trails Trying to think that you have to go through all the games at once is only going to deter others or even yourself from trying, so take it Arc by Arc! Even slowly, this series is a joy to experience xD

Naoki Hamaguchi says Zack was part of the FF7 Remake concept from an early stage and we will continue to experience Zack's role in the story in Part 3! "Zack's presence was part of the concept from a fairly early stage. Since the original game, Zack has become an enormously popular character through numerous FFVII spin-off titles. In this remake project, there are aspects where we've made significant changes compared to the original. Instead of conveying these shifts in worldview directly through dialogue or explanations, we've taken the approach of allowing players to intuitively perceive them through the character of Zack. Zack is a character whose mere presence naturally brings to the surface a different perspective on the world. That's precisely why, in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, we've incorporated him into the story in a way that maximizes his appeal. And, of course, this approach is maintained throughout the entire trilogy. In that regard, we hope you'll continue to follow Zack's role in the story." nintenderos.com/2026/05/entrev…

Atlus Persona Studio Head Kazuhisa Wada says turn based elements in games shouldn't fade away and have timeless appeal: "I don't think turn‑based elements are something we should let fade away" "I don't personally feel that turn-based systems are particularly popular at the moment, but I do sense that recent critically acclaimed games have brought renewed attention to them. I suspect the perception of turn-based combat as outdated – almost like a fossil – came about because many developers followed trends and shifted toward action or action-oriented gameplay instead of refining high-quality turn-based designs." "the sense of exhilaration and accomplishment that turn-based gameplay can deliver has always been there," and remains a "timeless appeal of games." gamesradar.com/games/jrpg/per…

Jim Ryan’s biggest mistake (after the over zealous live service push) was not caring about Japan IMO. Over the last 5 years or so years Japanese games and things from Japan have become more popular than ever around the world. PlayStation, being a Japanese company, should be in a better position to capitalize more on that IMO.
