Why the Pre-Tribulation Rapture Is Biblical (and Post-Trib Is Not) A lot of confusion about the rapture comes from not rightly dividing the Scriptures and mixing different dispensations. Once you separate Israel and the Church, the timeline becomes clear. 1. The Church and Salvation by Grace Was a Mystery Salvation by grace through faith, and the formation of the Church (the Body of Christ), was a mystery not revealed in the Old Testament. This was first revealed through Paul. • Old Testament prophets did not know about the Church • Jesus’ earthly ministry was primarily to Israel under the Law • The Church Age begins with new revelation given to Paul That means Matthew 24–25 is not Church doctrine. It deals with Israel, especially in the future Tribulation. 2. The Rapture Was Revealed by Paul The rapture of the Church is a mystery revealed by Paul: • 1 Corinthians “Behold, I shew you a mystery…” • 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 This event: • Was not revealed before • Is specifically for the Church • Cannot be the same event as Matthew 24 3. There Are Two Raptures (Two Gatherings) This is where many people get confused. (1) The Church Rapture (Pre-Tribulation) • Revealed to Paul • Happens before the Tribulation • Believers are caught up to meet Christ in the air • No signs, sudden event (2) The Tribulation Gathering (Post-Tribulation) • Found in Matthew 24–25 • Happens after the Tribulation • Refers to Tribulation saints (primarily Israelites) • Connected with Christ’s visible return Matthew 24 is not describing the Church being raptured. It is describing a gathering of Tribulation survivors just before the Second Coming. 4. The Tribulation Is for Israel, Not the Church Daniel makes this clear: • “Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people…” → “thy people” = Israel The Tribulation (the 70th week): • Is a time of judgment and indignation • Is directed at Israel and the nations ('Jacob's Trouble') The Church is never the focus of this period. 5. Christians Are Not Appointed to Wrath 1 Thessalonians 5:9 (KJV) “For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,” The Tribulation is a time of God’s wrath. So the conclusion is straightforward: → The Church cannot be in the Tribulation Post-trib teaching places believers inside the very wrath they are not appointed to. 6. Matthew 24 Is Not About the Church Matthew 24: • Talks about fleeing Judea • Mentions the Sabbath • Describes survival conditions during the Tribulation This is clearly Israel-focused, not the Church. Applying those verses to Christians today mixes dispensations and creates doctrinal confusion. 7. The Rapture and the Second Coming Are Different Church Rapture: • Believers go up to meet Christ • Happens suddenly • No signs • Mystery revealed to Paul Second Coming: • Christ comes down to the earth • Visible, with judgment • Happens after the Tribulation • Prophesied in the Old Testament and Matthew 24 The Tribulation gathering in Matthew 24 aligns with the Second Coming, not the Church rapture. 8. Conclusion When Scripture is rightly divided: • The Church is a mystery revealed to Paul • The rapture of the Church is pre-Tribulation • The Tribulation is for Israel and judgment • Believers are not appointed to wrath • Matthew 24 describes a different gathering, not the Church So the conclusion is clear: There are two distinct gatherings, and the Church is taken out before the Tribulation begins. Post-tribulation teaching only works when these distinctions are ignored or blended together.

Not everyone teaches dispensationalism correctly. Many misunderstand it, especially those who rely solely on the Scofield Bible or assume it was invented by Darby. I’d recommend studying Clarence Larkin and Dr. Peter S. Ruckman on dispensationalism. Their work will help clear up those misunderstandings.

@seven_parables @TNTJohn1717 I was born in a church that was dispensational and went there till my 30s until I left because of all their leavened theology which I prove is leavened with loits of scripture here: sumofthyword.com

🚨‼️I know who does not want to hear it: people who cannot rightly divide the word of truth and keep shoving the Church into passages about Tribulation saints, Israel, and the wrath of God. Ashley is doing what a lot of men will not do, opening the Book, reading the verses plainly, and refusing to bow to the loud crowd. Revelation 13:7 does not disprove the pre-tribulation rapture. It proves the Antichrist makes war with saints in the Tribulation. The question is not whether there are saints in the Tribulation. The question is whether they are the Body of Christ. Learn the difference.
Salt@salt_icxc

I don't know who needs to hear this, but the pre-tribulation rapture is a false doctrine. "It was granted to him [Antichrist] to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation." (Rev 13:7)

Dispensationalism is biblical. 1 Corinthians 9:17 (KJV) “For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.” Ephesians 1:10 (KJV) “That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:” Ephesians 3:2 (KJV) “If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:” Colossians 1:25 (KJV) “Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;” In Paul’s writings, it specifically points to: - A distinct way God is dealing with man - A specific responsibility or revelation given at a certain time - In this current age, “the dispensation of the grace of God” (Ephesians 3:2), which was revealed to Paul This is why Paul also calls it a “mystery” (1 Corinthians 15:51, Ephesians 3:3–5), something not revealed in earlier times.

@seven_parables @TNTJohn1717 You should ask yourself why Jesus called everyone who believes a "him" as in one body who is NOT raised up until the "last day": John 6:40...every one that beholdeth the Son, and believeth on him, should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

@seven_parables @TNTJohn1717 The "last day" is NOT 7 years before the "last day" and those resurrected/raptured will be the ONE olive tree made up of believing Jews and believing Gentiles as ONE olive tree!

@GregCha67942091 You couldn’t, even if you wanted to, because you’re not rightly dividing the Scriptures. This is a typical case that comes from not understanding dispensationalism.

You don’t need to do that, as I’ve already shown you what the Bible teaches about the rapture. You seem unfamiliar with dispensationalism and therefore are not rightly dividing. If you don’t follow 2 Timothy 2:15 and rightly divide the word of truth, you won’t be able to discern it properly.

@seven_parables Here’s what the bible actually teaches about the rapture.
Greg@GregCha67942091

I shared this with a friend today and when I talked about the mystery of God, it clicked for him. He understood. He now knows beyond any doubt that the pretrib teaching is a lie. Here’s a quick summary of what we talked about today with a few additions. Jesus second coming, Jesus is only coming back once more according Hebrews 9:28. Pretrib teaches a third coming before the tribulation and then another one after. His coming Matthew 24:3, Matthew 24:29-31, 1 Thess. 2:19, 1 Thess. 3:13, 1 Thess. 4:15, 2 Thess. 2:1,8, 1 Co. 15:23 All these use the same word parousia which means physical arrival. Be not deceived. Matthew 24:3-4, 2 Thess. 2:1-3., The gathering 2 Thess. 2:1-3, Matthew 24:31. The mystery 1 Co. 15:50-52, Rev. 10:7 The last trumpet 1 Co. 15:50-52, Rev. 10:7 11:15-17. No other trumpet sounds after this in Revelation. Two resurrections only. Daniel 12:1-2, John 5:28-29 Revelation 20:4-6. On the last day John 6:39,40,44,54 Martha also understood this. John 11:24, Job also understood it. Job 19:25-27. Also the parable of the wheat and tares destroys the pretrib teaching. Matthew 13:27-43, esp. verse 30 and 40 tells us the wheat and tares are not separated till the end of the world. We are together till then. This is just the tip of the iceberg on this subject as I can share hundreds of other verses on this. This is all part of the foundational teachings that we had started to go through years ago. Get a group of people together and I will come and be happy to teach this in much more detail.

@sum_of_thy_Word @TNTJohn1717 The Body of Christ is a mystery that was not revealed to the Old Testament saints or to the disciples before Paul. See Romans 11:25 and 16:25. Read them.

@seven_parables @TNTJohn1717 The mystery is "we all shall not sleep, but we shall all be changed" You need to study ALL Paul taught as there is only ONE rapture here left after Jesus: 1 Corinthians 15:23  But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; then they that are Christ's, at his coming.

Start with point one, Paul was never given a revelation of a pretrib rapture. No scripture teaches that he was given a special revelation of it and Paul never taught a pretrib rapture. Chapter and verse for either or these please. You have parroted a theology book that I have heard many times but nothing from the Bible for this.

@GregCha67942091 I already showed from Scripture that the pre-trib rapture is taught. If you’re going to dismiss it, at least address the points instead of ignoring them. Calling it “word salad” doesn’t refute anything. Read it again carefully.

A common result of not rightly dividing the Scriptures. The body of Christ and the Rapture of the Church were revealed as a mystery through Paul, not before. Matthew 24–25 was spoken before that revelation, during Christ’s earthly ministry to Israel. So context matters. What Jesus taught there was directed to his Jewish disciples concerning Israel and the coming Tribulation, not the Church, which had not yet been revealed.
