People joined because the game was good. Until Web3 studios learn that lesson, most blockchain games will continue to struggle. Players come for fun. They stay for the economy.

Taskbar Hero proved something very simple: Gameplay → Community → Economy. Not the other way around. It didn't need endless creator incentives. It didn't need massive token rewards. It didn't need unsustainable user acquisition campaigns.

Taskbar Hero should be a case study for every Web3 game studio. An extremely simple game. No AAA graphics. No token. No promises of "revolutionizing gaming." Yet it became one of the most played games on Steam.

Many asked why I stopped. I got stuck in a loop: relying on paid content. I chased socialfi and hurt my own community for money. So I stepped back and focused on what works. I’ll be back but with games I truly enjoy, not just for money.

Now part of an AI company building: • Smart assistants (web, WhatsApp, internal) • Automation, integrations & data-driven flows • High-conversion websites & systems Next step: bringing this to Web3 more transparency, ownership, and scalability.

Games I still strongly believe in this year: Axie MMORPG and The Sandbox.

Web3 is about true asset ownership. If players can’t own and trade what they earn, it loses meaning. But that alone isn’t enough gameplay is still king. Games that don’t balance experience and ownership will lose ground.
