@ellleri@bellomelo2@panicxaretz I own bunnies. Another animal can't replace a second bunny’s bond, they must communicate with their own kind. They’re sensitive and can easily be injured or injure a smaller animal themselves(eg.Cavia) She’d need to spend hours daily to stop its depression, which her job prevents
@sevvyalt@bellomelo2@panicxaretz do you own a bunny? thats not abuse, as long as youre present with the bunny often. or own a different animal.
as a bunny owner, no, only having one bunny is NOT abuse.
@yoonidere@bellomelo2@panicxaretz Human interaction can technically reduce loneliness, but you have to spend several hours with them each day (Which she probably couldn't fulfill due her job) and still its not ideal as bunnies still prefer to have another bunny around.
@sevvyalt@bellomelo2@panicxaretz It’s not necessarily abuse. But rabbits are highly social and this just means it would need more human interaction which is fine. I owned bunny growing up as a kid and it was doing fine :/ not everything on the internet is true. It depends on the environment for them as well.
@iheartgavi@bellomelo2@panicxaretz SOME. not all. I also have bunnies. Bunnies are generally extremely social animals and will become depressed without a friend, but there are some rare exceptions.
@sevvyalt@bellomelo2@panicxaretz Y’all are DUMB! Having a single bunny is not abuse. Some bunnies cannot be in a pair because they will fight (speaking from experience). Some bunnies also just prefer being alone.
