NB I-5 WORK BEGINS SUNDAY
Emergency contract is signed & crews will begin clearing debris along south of Bellingham 3/22.
Still no estimate when lanes will reopen, but crews will work 7 days a week. Safety of crews & travelers is our top priority.

UPDATE 3/21: NB I-5 remains closed south of Bellingham after slides. Geotechs are back and forming a plan to stabilize the slope so emergency work to clear & reopen I-5 can safely begin. NB traffic continues to divert at exit 246. Consider other routes, such as SR 9 or SR 11.
