Hey @flySFO , @SFBART minimum you could do is make it clear how to access public transit from all terminals. Failure as usual.

SFO is the end of the line for the Yellow line and there is a change in train operators. The Red Line on the other hand is passing through with a normal dwell time pick up. We do post the departure time on the platform screens and these times are reflected in the schedule. The Red Line will always depart before the Yellow Line.

@SFBART why at sfo does a red line come in from the cal train stop, while I’m sitting on a yellow line train directly opposite that has been sitting now for 10 mins does the red line take off, no signage on the board announcing the department while this yellow line doesn’t move?

BART runs a Sunday schedule today for Memorial Day. This means BART will be operating from around 8am until around midnight. All five lines will be in service until around 9pm. After 9pm, BART will run three-line (Yellow, Blue, and Orange) service.

“Public transit is about connection,” shm said. “This piece makes that connection sensory.”  Tiat gallery’s time.place exhibition concluded in April, but the artists are already imagining a larger iteration of the sculpture – this time with four tubes to incorporate the beloved-though unintentionally omitted Blue Line – and searching for new spaces to exhibit.   Future iterations will stay true to the ethos of the original: infrastructure as art, motion transformed into light and tone and sensation.

“Transbay Tubes provides a lesson in anticipation and patience,” said Oliver. “And it made the Transbay Tube feel alive for those of us in its presence.”  By the time you step away from Transbay Tubes, BART feels different. Not just a way to get from one place to another, but a rhythm, a pulse, a shared experience unfolding in real time.

Local artists built the instrument, but BART plays the music. Transbay Tubes is a sound sculpture created by an intergenerational trio of Bay Area artists. Each time a BART train enters the Transbay Tube, a light flashes and one of three tubes generates a resonant hum.

Update: It takes about an hour to arrive in Santa Rosa. On the train, there was room to sit, work & relax, instead of fighting traffic. It took longer but I throughly enjoyed starting the morning this way! Next up, I will see how the transit goes heading back this afternoon.🚊🚌
