I was in Ukraine a few weeks ago. Before the trip I believed Ukraine had the capability to win this war. After the trip, after talking to Ukrainians of all walks of life, I am confident Ukraine will win this war.

Over the past few weeks, Ukraine has begun launching more aerial drone strikes on Russian territory than Russia is carrying out in Ukraine. Unlike the Kremlin, Kyiv is targeting Russian facilities related to the military-industrial complex, while Russia continues to strike civilians, churches, schools, and maternity hospitals. This footage is from the latest massive Ukrainian drone swarm attack on Russian oil terminals in the Port of Novorossiysk, in Russia’s Krasnodar region, on the night of Monday, April 6. In the videos, we can see oil infrastructure burning across the port.

Last night, Russia struck Odesa with attack drones. Residential buildings, a kindergarten, and a district power substation have been damaged. Thousands of families have been left without electricity. Repair crews have been working since the night to restore power supply.
As of now, tragically, three people have been reported killed in this attack, including a child – just two years old. My sincere condolences to the families and loved ones.
Sixteen people have been wounded. Eleven of them have been hospitalized by our medics, including a pregnant woman and two children. The youngest is not even a year old. Two people have also been injured in the Kharkiv region.
Energy infrastructure was struck in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Dnipro regions. I thank our emergency services helping on the ground.
In total, overnight, the Russians launched more than 140 attack drones against Ukraine, nearly 80 of them “shaheds.” In some regions, strikes are still ongoing. And this is only part of what our people endure every day. During the past week, over 2,800 attack drones were used, along with nearly 1,350 guided aerial bombs, and more than 40 missiles of various types.
Right now, all partners need to strengthen air defense together so that the interception rate of drones and missiles continues to increase. This is a daily effort for everyone, not just Ukraine, because through supplies, support for us, and joint work, our partners are helping themselves as well. Russia has no intention of stopping. I thank everyone who understands this and contributes to our shared defense.

The port of St. Petersburg has just been struck by dozens of drones, each carrying tons of explosives.
The strikes were precise and powerful. Within minutes, eight ships in the port were ablaze, including a large landing ship, two tankers, and several military support vessels.
Flames rose dozens of meters into the air, and thick black smoke covered the entire sky over the city. The explosions were heard even in the city center.

Russia shared their satellite intelligence with Iran about Israel's energy system – some 50–53 facilities in total. They are helping Iran to launch attacks. We are talking about civilian infrastructure, nothing military in nature.
It resembles the lives of Ukrainians under Russian attacks, when they target our energy grid or water supply systems. Of course, all the experience Russia has obtained during the war against Ukraine is being shared with Iran. This was the case with “shaheds”, the same drones the Russians have, only used under a different name and upgraded to newer generations.

Russian losses this March have reached their highest level since the start of the war: our drone strikes alone resulted in 33,988 Russian servicemembers killed or seriously wounded, while artillery and other strikes eliminated another 1,363 Russian occupiers. That means more than 35,000 Russian losses in just one month – and these are clearly verified losses. We have video documentation of every such strike in our system.
I thank all our warriors for their precision. I will especially recognize the warriors of the Special Operations Center “A” of Ukraine’s Security Service, the “Magyar's Birds,” the State Border Guard Service special unit “Phoenix,” “Lasar’s Group,” and the 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade – these are the most effective units in the use of drones.
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov, briefed me on the performance of all units at the front. We have clear and verified reports for every direction and every type of strike. We are ready to provide the relevant data to our partners. Essentially, Ukraine’s Defense and Security Forces have denied the occupier the ability to dictate the situation on the front line.
Importantly, the results in the destruction of Russia’s air defense systems have also significantly increased, with 274 such systems hit in March alone. There have also been tangible results in the destruction of Russian depots and military logistics. The Ministry of Defense, together with the Armed Forces, will present a detailed report to the public for March – data that may be made public.
I also approved with the Minister today a number of tasks for the coming weeks. In particular, we are preparing decisions to strengthen the Ukrainian infantry, the army contract system, and measures to address AWOL cases – measures that must genuinely work in practice. We are also preparing decisions to scale up the export opportunities of our weapons manufacturers and joint productions with partners.
