@WG_RumblePants @fcmad1960 The main problem was him quitting on his teammates after they had their arses kicked. Jump ship mid series once it had been decided instead of seeing it out with them. You win and lose as one. He deserved all the criticism he got I felt.

I wish Graeme Swann’s shock retirement mid way through the 2013/14 Ashes series had been treated with the same understanding now given to Ravi Ashwin. I always felt he was unfairly vilified for admitting that he couldn’t do it anymore having realised it was time to go.
