Some observations from the #Cowboys' Tuesday OTAs practice: - Was a good day for the defense. CB Cobie Durant had an interception off Dak Prescott, and CB Caelen Carson and LB Dee Winters had PBUs off Prescott too - First-round pick Malachi Lawrence had a "sack" against the first-team offense. Saw Quinnen Williams, Kenny Clark and Rashan Gary get pressure at at least one point vs. the first-team offense - Jaishawn Barham saw some snaps with the first team at linebacker alongside DeMarvion Overshown - With CeeDee Lamb being excused from practice and George Pickens not in attendance, Ryan Flournoy, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and KaVontae Turpin saw most of the work with the first-team at WR. Flournoy had a strong catch in the middle of the field through some physicality from Cobie Durant - CB DaRon Bland (foot), S Jalen Thompson (pec) and WR Jonathan Mingo (groin) worked with the rehab group - Did not see RB Javonte Williams today

Cowboys LB Overshown is officially working at weak and Mike. No officially decision has been made about Mike. Let Overshown tell it, it has all been decided He said Christian Parker told him upon his arrival he wanted him to be the Mike, the voice in the middle of the defense More importantly, it’s the role Overshown wants to play He plans to own it

We shouldn’t be surprised to hear Schotty say he’s “blown away by Rashan Gary’s professionalism” but let’s re-frame that discussion for a second & consider some under the radar context around the new Cowboys EDGE @AkoyeMedia touched on it briefly a couple weeks ago but I’m still seeing mostly pessimism so I figured it was time to highlight it once again.
