what I find funny about Christopher Nolan is that he is still a very conservative guy who often makes movies with an almost fascist messaging, but because he's vaguely progressive about individual freedoms and doesn't openly hate minorities he's now denounced as Woke by the right

Every baby cinephile goes through their "Nolan is overrated" phase thinking it'll make them look more sophisticated and discerning than 'the normies' but I'm glad I grew out of it. One of our greats, with a deep love not just for cinema but for 'the movies' and what they mean.

this track is SO GOOD. the part where odysseus' men run towards boat was insane. the autotuned vocals sounded kinda futuristic and modern and still worked perfectly. james blake's vocals in the end... chef's kiss
