Meta Mosseri know exactly what they're doing. The accounts getting disabled aren't just random profiles, they're accounts full of years of memories, work, businesses, and communities that people would go to any extent to recover. and while users are left helpless, an entire industry of hackers and fake "account recovery" services profits from their desperation.

There was so much of my work I posted directly on it (highlights) without keeping a backup. More than half of my work is gone, and I have no proof of a lot of the work I've done. That was my mistake. I should have made backups. Please.
