High Court to hear Ranveer Singh’s petition this Tuesday — Kantara imitation controversy. Actor Ranveer Singh is asking the Karnataka High Court to drop a criminal case against him for allegedly mocking the sacred Daiva tradition during an event in Goa. A lawyer filed a complaint claiming Ranveer crudely mimicked performances from the movie Kantara and made offensive comments, which led to the police charging him with hurting religious sentiments. Although Ranveer has since apologized and promised not to do it again, he’s now pushing for the court to pause all legal action against him while they look into the matter this Tuesday in court
