7 year old: “Mom? Did you know Garfield hates the day Monday?” Me: “Yes. Actually I do know that.”

@theashleyray Yeah, I’m not into gross out humor either. But I let it slide with her because she’s just so kind.

@lauratremaine Highly recommend listening to the “We Can Do Hard Things” ep from 2 days ago with Jessica Yellin. I don’t see any way forward without Biden stepping down. We need a Hail Mary.

At this point I think it would be a mistake to replace Biden. Trump hasn’t gotten the huge bump from the last week that might be expected. Replacing Biden will be total chaos and I’m not sure there’s a single candidate that will pull his incumbent numbers. It’s too risky.

You’re either a Taco Bell person or a Del Taco person. On paper, I identify with the characteristics of a Del Taco person. But in reality, I am a Taco Bell person.

I feel like you can tell a lot about a person based on their Reddit homepage and their most visited boards. Mine are Glitch in the Matrix, Trader Joe’s, Below Deck, and Disneyland.

Taylor adds so much fun and joy to my life. It makes this 37yo mom feel like a tween again, only instead of identifying w/my favorite Spice Girl, I identify w/my favorite era. The setlists, the costumes, the lyrics, the hidden meanings… it’s pure unbridled, yet meaningful, fun.

@sarah_jean I’m honestly so fatigued by people being bothered and complaining about other people’s behavior/interests when it doesn’t affect them or impact anyone negatively. Do I think some shit is weird? YES. But who fucking cares?

@tx_redbeard @mollyfleck @clhubes I live walking distance to a brewery. And a distillery. And a wine bar. In America 🤷🏻‍♀️. I also have zero desire to be drunk around my kids, so I call it a day after 1 or 2 drinks, regardless if I’m walking or driving.

I’m wearing fake lashes today and I need to keep them on because we have plans tonight. But this is torture and I’ve never wanted to rub my eyes more. How did I live like this every weekend of my twenties?

Why do ppl get so pissed off when childfree ppl want spaces that remain childfree? The convo always turns to “you hate children”. There are spaces curated for families and children, which is great. So why can’t there also be spaces that are for adults only?

@LarissaFae @deandraswriting @reading_chemist I’m 37 and have been meeting up with my girlfriends regularly for my entire adult life in restaurants. Many, many different restaurants in southern CA. Not once, out of hundreds of times, have we ever been disturbed by children. It’s… not an issue?

I have a curse in life, which is that my food orders always come out wrong. But I also have a useless superpower: I hardly sweat, even when exercising. I can leave the gym feeling as dry and clean as when I walked in. Still would trade that to have my food come out right 😐.

@sarah_jean Happy birthday, Ron. I will never forget that deep voice. Losing a great parent when they’re only in their fifties is beyond fucking unfair. There is no making peace with it, not for me anyway. Even 75 is still young.

Sometimes I Google people from the In Memoriam portion of awards shows. The only one I looked up tonight is someone named Terry Kirkman. No idea why. He was old. I’ve never heard of him. But it turns out, we share the same hometown and went to the same high school 50 years apart.
