This was indeed beautiful but you know what was also beautiful and wasn't seen on camera? Let me tell you a story @KNCBcricket had just defeated Scotland and secured their first World Cup appearance in 12 years in the most dramatic fashion in Bulawayo. The team was ecstatic and celebrations went on for a while in the dressing room before everyone sat in the bus to go to the hotel. Needless to say, even the bus journey had everyone singing and dancing. Now as the bus was nearing the hotel though, @Maxiboi23 got up and addressed his teammates. He said, "Guys, Scotland is also in the same hotel as us and they must be hurting like hell at this point. It could have been us in their place. So, let's make sure we enter the hotel quietly and not rub it on their noses." Coach Ryan Cook, the man who had cultivated this beautiful culture in the dressing room, agreed and concluded Maxi's speech by saying 'Let's celebrate the win but make sure we stay humble.' The entire team quietly made their way to the hotel and also chatted with the few Scottish players they met in the foyer. Spirit of Cricket. 🧡
