@shane_2312 @mlverney I’d actually go further and say I love Bennett. Not your typical athletic build but just so brilliant. And a gent to go with it, anytime I’ve heard him speak. Not meant as a knock on Waterford but he’d have a serious medal haul if he was from another county

@KildareFan2025 @CillDaraTimes Yeah Pairc Ui Caoimh had issues for 2 years after redevelopment,like a snooker table now,genuine question Ive seen volume of games mentioned as a issue but what extra games would it get compared to other county grounds,looking from the outside Hawkfield seems to get alot of games

@shane_2312 @CillDaraTimes The playing surface is a relatively new pitch. Never got a chance to breath. Too many games on it since it was opened. Similar work needed that went into Wexford Park when it was in bad shape around 2014.

@KildareFan2025 @CillDaraTimes Yeah I know our record isn't great, we're trying to build structures from u14 etc, you know accountability. Trying to blame the ref for your poor discipline isn't accountability, also that playing surface is an embarrassment for a county ground.

@SmallerFishGAA Amateur physiology stuff here but Chin was poor by his standards against Dublin, maybe Wexford management feel he needs to be on the frees to get into the game.

As an outsider (yes, we technically are still), I think the criticism Leinster hurling gets can be harsh.
They’ve essentially allowed themselves to become the Rest of Ireland Championship for the greater good.
Welcoming in the likes of Galway and Antrim at senior & underage.

Leinster Hurling isn’t in a wonderful spot. 1998, 2000 All Ireland Finals between Kilkenny and Offaly. Kilkenny approaching an 11 year drought. No Final appearance for Wexford in 30 years. Worrying times.

This is crazy.
So, for example, if RTÉ show a Saturday night game and TG4 have a double header on Sunday, Galway can’t stream games at those times. Bananas.
The club games from other counties are nice to see, but realistically, it’s your own county’s fixtures you want to see.

@tclansee I switch off every time I hear them. Leinster could have what Munster have if they filled the grounds, players feel off atmosphere which is why Munster has become what it is. Supporters in Leinster teams need to go to games.

Is there another sporting organisation in the world where competition structures dominate so much of the chat around the place?
I reckon in my lifetime the hurling format at the top level has changed about 20 times.

"After the Leinster final and Munster final hurling falls off a cliff" A VERY simple tweak to the hurling championship would fix a lot of problems. It would mean no team is out of the championship in May and give plenty of big exciting games in June
