Today was hard not to give in & give up. Whether you believe in Jesus, Karma, or nothing, I have to trust it's worth pushing through. I read it's a gamble either way. Guess I'm taking my chances to wait and see what tomorrow holds. One of these days things have to turn around 🙏

@shannon_ABA chances of being happy by ensuring that our favourite reinforcers are available. If I'm teaching simultaneous solution of linear equations, I want the CR+ to be available all the time. This is exactly how I discovered backward chaining - before I even knew that ABA existed!

Behavior is not evidence of feelings - don't dictate behavior. Between the feelings and the behavior, there is the person. You may not be able to change your feelings but you can change your environment and behavior.#behaviortwitter #Growth #change

Happiness is a feeling, a by-product of operant reinforcement. The things which make us happy are the things which reinforce us, but it is the things, not the feelings, which must be identified and used in prediction, control, and interpretation.

@shannon_ABA Not all that much of a loophole ... there is a reason why reinforcer preference assessments are done. If contingent reinforcement makes us happy, and if the reinforcers higher on the list are more likely to do that, then making it that the environment provides them increases our

@shannon_ABA By doing that, eventually changing the reinforcement contingencies so that you get positive reinforcements that make you happy.
In other words, behaviour analysis DOES care about feelings.
