Established through Bahrain's initiative at the United Nations and championed by the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence, to promote tolerance and understanding worldwide. Abdol Hossein Sardari, an Iranian diplomat in France during the Holocaust, used his position to save Jews from Nazi persecution. Known as the Iranian Schindler, he acted out of conscience and human decency, never seeking recognition. In a majority Muslim country with a small Jewish community, this landmark represents a powerful commitment to remembrance, education, and the fight against hatred.
