We have been arranging some special Oakley’s Outings for some of our families the past couple of weeks. I have to say it has been a pleasure dealing with @ManCity who have gone out of their way to make sure we can create a special outing for a seriously ill boy and his family.

I just wanted to send a little message out to ask all star families that have moved house, to make sure that they have updated Share a Star with their latest address. We will be sending out some info soon and have planned a surprise, but we need updated addresses for that!

You may have noticed how quiet we have been on socials! We got hit hard by Covid as all our volunteers are chronically ill. We are in the middle of getting ready for a relaunch, so watch this space! #ShareAStar #Relaunch

We have been so lucky to partner with the incredible @flymestories! They created so many special personalised books for our stars last year, and we can’t wait to send some more out! #ShareAStarCharity #WorkingTogether

So this... we turn TEN YEARS OLD TODAY! From a little idea that I had in my hospital room, to what it has now become is incredible. Thank you so much for all of your support! #Covid19UK has wrecked our celebration plans but there will be another time!

We made 300 happy boxes up today at our Happy Box Community Project! They will be sent out over the next few days. Currently our house is looking more like a warehouse than a home 😂 #MakeADifference #ShareAStar

We sent out all the amazing gifts that @kmfmofficial donated to us in their Christmas Appeal. We sent one big Polly Pocket set to a girl who’s brain tumour has relapsed and she is having to start aggressive treatment on her birthday 🎁 #ThankYouKMFM #ShareAStar

It is coming up to Christmas, so our Santa’s little helper, aka one of our volunteers has hand drawn 30 Santa letters to go with the Abilities in Me Christmas book we are sending out to some of our families. Aren’t they gorgeous?! #ShareAStarCharity #Christmas #Hope

We are currently arranging some trips to a ridingstables for some of our stars. This is a first for us so we are hoping it is a fab day. Riding and learning all about how to look after a pony with a bit of grooming thrown in too. Watch this space for photos. #pony #Horses #smiles
