How are some streamers getting away with playing licensed music on their channels? I have seen a few, small and big, playing tracks by big and popular artists. I thought this was Twitch illegal? Bannable? NO??? Someone drop the lore.

@AverageJoeVet I know in my country some venues need to acquire express permissions to broadcast certain music. A supermarket I visit has their own radio station so they have complete control over what is played in their stores!

@sharkaila So, I do this thing where I swing in Spider-Man 2 to song requests. I've been doing it for years to so many licensed songs. They get muted but that's it. I've never been banned or had any sort of consequence. Before that, I've done art streams with licensed music. Same thing.
