Having to waste 2 hours of my time trekking around town waiting in lines to get new passport photos and several papers notarized to “prove” my identity and citizenship for certain state licenses obtained through IMLCC after IMLCC already made me prove all that makes me 🤬😡😾

Unless you enjoy being an underpaid employee, do not help other people build their empire who do not value your time, experience, skills, or expertise. Lip service doesn’t pay the bills. Go your own way.

@DutchRojas It’s an infinite supply vs demand problem. Never enough docs, always too many patients. It’s the same problem in all corporate health. At Kaiser my wait list was 3 months. Then at a functional med startup my wait list was 2 months. Now it’s next week. doctorsedit.com

Health systems have no room. My wife told me ENT appointments are available in January 2024. Then I got curious, so I I started calling. Gastro available February 2024. Orthopedics available November 2023.

@startuphealth @jameyedwards @DigitalRajNYC @ArcadeTx Doctors are already patient-centric. However, no healthcare companies are doctor-centric. Doctors are treated like replaceable cogs. How about building tech that’s doctor-centric to enable us to be free from corporate bullshit so we focus better on being patient-centric.

NY in the same email: Sike! Did we say only 3 training topic areas? It's actually 8 mandatory training topic areas. Don't bother attesting until all 8 topic areas are completed, even though you don't have a DEA license in NY.

NY: If you have a DEA license anywhere, not even in NY, we're going to require you to complete 3 hours of training in pain mgmt, palliative care and addiction. Me: But I already did the CME trainings in CA and NV. Not to mention my residency taught me all this.

Also me: Let me look back at my o-chem notes to remind myself how NONE OF IT HELPS ME TREAT PATIENTS

Me: How TF do you think I was able to apply to and complete 4 years of med school and a full residency without meeting premed requirements? Also, I'm already licensed in 4 other states.

Me (a board certified MD): Why TF is my NY medical license taking so long? NY: (5 months after my application) Dr. Ng, We're going to need proof that you completed all your premed requirements. Send college transcript.

Really hate @Meta right now. Ads account disabled for no good reason with no customer support to fix. Can’t connect IG to a FB page. Tried multiple times. Everything is clunky. Spent hours trying to fix things. I don’t want to have to start a new FB account. 🤬

@thepedipals Sounds about right. Multiply that by ohh... every patient on the schedule. And they wonder why doctors are behind schedule or can't address every problem on their list. The system thinks we live in Step 2 CS world where pts have just 1 problem and tell you everything you need

Everyone knows the healthcare system is really a disease care system. It's rigid and resistant to change. That's ok, we need acute and trauma care. But what we need is a preventative & regenerative health system, parallel to and outside of the system. What would that look like?
