nix is such an amazing piece of software because while being an immense pile of steaming garbage as an implementation, it's so much better than any other build system out there and when you find out about things like __structuredAttrs, __functor, ((_:_) != (_:_)) == ((a:a) == (a:a)), (_: builtins.break _), __override, operators being overridable, nix plugins, numerous darwin impurity hacks, etc it's already too late to run away because you're managing literally everything with nix
