before every campaign we run, we run the same 40-point infrastructure audit.
it catches problems that kill campaigns before the first email is sent.
the checklist covers:
-> domain setup and DNS verification
-> warmup status and engagement rates
-> list hygiene and bounce rate history
-> sending volume limits and ramp settings
-> spam complaint rate and blacklist status
-> reply handling setup and CRM alerts
one failed item can tank the whole campaign.
most teams skip this and then troubleshoot after deliverability drops.
the audit takes 20 minutes. skipping it can cost you 3 weeks of recovery time.

most teams are watching the wrong signals.
job change: everyone sees it. everyone emails at the same time.
funding round: same. 50 cold emails hit the new VP's inbox in 48 hours.
intent data: the most expensive way to fight over the same 3%.
the signals that actually predict a buying window are less obvious.
they're the ones nobody's automating yet.
i mapped 11 buying signals that consistently precede a decision, most of which are public but underused.
-> headcount growth above 15% in 90 days
-> shift from one job function to another in hiring patterns
-> new c-suite hire outside the core business (often means restructure is coming)
-> plus 8 more, each with the outreach trigger that goes with it

The Commanders want to build massive parking decks, up to 110 feet or 11 stories tall, new filings show. Renderings don't do it justice but it'll poke out in the skyline. axios.com/local/washingt…

seeing more people boxing in @gymclassvr now than were playing basketball at launch. 🤯
what an amazing community. excited to raise the bar even more this year.

the reason most outbound campaigns fail isn't the copy.
it's that they were never built properly.
no clear ICP. unverified list. domains sent before warmup. no testing framework. no activation checklist.
then they send, get poor results, and conclude cold email doesn't work.
this is the build guide that fixes that:
6 phases. the exact process we follow for every client campaign from scratch.
including: the honest expectations section. what month 1 typically looks like. what month 3 looks like. what month 6 looks like.
no hype. just the actual build.
comment BUILD and i'll send it over.

@RapSheet @funnydanny @grantpaulsen What’s cool about this is the Chiefs didn’t even trade up for the best LS in the NFL
English

The #Chiefs have agreed to terms to bring back long snapper James Winchester, per source, as he gets a 1-year, $1.75M fully guaranteed deal. This keeps him as the NFL’s highest paid long snapper.

Props to Coinbase for fighting for consumer rights & the crypto industry.
Hope Clarity cements what was clear when we launched USDC Rewards in 2019 (7yrs ago!!): consumers should earn $$ on their $$.
PS: found in Google Photos today. Great times :)

@heresyfinancial @tiffani Massive and lucrative copy paste exercise. Individuals should be disintermediated unless a dispute. But no political courage to do this because Intuit’s lobby.

America doesn’t need direct file
It needs return-free filing.
The IRS already has all your taxable data. Every year the IRS should either send you a bill or a check.
If you think they got it wrong then you can file.

your icp is probably too broad
"b2b saas companies" is not an icp
"tech companies with 50+ employees" is not an icp
real icps are specific enough that you can name 10 companies that fit perfectly
we use a 6-layer icp framework:
→ firmographics (the basics)
→ technographics (tools they use)
→ behavioral signals (what theyre doing)
→ negative filters (who to avoid)
→ buying committee map (who to contact)
→ trigger events (when to reach out)
built out the complete worksheet

@reshmanuel @P_ConnerJr This will end up becoming a big deal. Cody ran analytics and strategy for the Northwestern football team. Have followed his career. He’s going to be a GM one day.
