Easter is a time to pause. To reset. To remember who we are and what we were made for. You might not have been to church in a while. Maybe it’s been years. Maybe you’re not even sure where to begin. That’s okay. This Easter, we invite you to come home. Come and discover peace that the world can’t give, hope that never fades, and a love that’s been waiting for you all along. Your local Catholic Church is here, with open doors and open hearts. No matter your story, no matter your doubts, you are welcome. Come home this Easter.

I am bringing this video back as a reminder: We are not Catholics because of the Pope or any priest. We are Catholics because of JESUS CHRIST. Christ is the foundation of our faith. Not personalities. Not emotions. Not convenience. So no, A bad priest is not an excuse. A weak Bishop is not an excuse. A corrupt Pope is not an excuse. A “boring” homily is not an excuse. None of these are reasons to walk away from the Church Christ Himself established. If you are Catholic, be Catholic for the right reason, and that reason is, JESUS CHRIST.

Healthcare workers will go to work today as they always do, caring with compassion, accompanying the sick, and upholding the dignity of every human life. In our hospices, hospitals, and care homes, staff can continue their vital work knowing their future is secure, free to support those in their care and to provide the very best healthcare rooted in dignity, respect, and love. Their vocation is one of service, not to hasten death, but to walk alongside those who suffer with skill, tenderness, and hope. In every ward, hospice room, and home visit, they remain a quiet but powerful witness to what true care looks like. Now we must stand with them, ensuring they have the funding, protection, and support they need and strengthening palliative care so that it is accessible to all who need it at every stage of life.

Solidarity is one of the key principles of Catholic Social Teaching. It inspires us to stand side by side with our sisters and brothers especially those experiencing hardship or living in poverty.

Amid the presents, food, and family time, Christmas invites us to pause and remember its true meaning, the birth of the Christ Child in Bethlehem. This Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, our parish doors are wide open. Come and celebrate with us in prayer, carols, and joy as we gather around the altar and the stable. Whatever your journey of faith, you are welcome. This Christmas, come home. There’s a pew waiting for you.

If assisted suicide passes in the Uk… Who decides when YOUR life isn’t “worth living”? Doctors? Politicians? Family? #NoToEuthanasia
