Look around. Youre not grateful to the British Empire either.
And btw, feeding the chicken before you slaughter it is no virtue. Giving shelter to a slave, so you can slave it more, is no virtue.
Your history lesson is wrong and perverse. And you are currently, as they say, paying in Karma for the sins of a brutal military-industrial adventure.
Hope you find it less insane on introspection. Hope youre also grateful that the world has forgiven Britain, and that we dont hate the Brits or Britain for the slaughter of millions of people.

It’s insane how ungrateful everyone is to the British Empire. We did so much for the world yet we’ve been taught that we’re evil. Absolutely insane.
