This book is a biography of the architect of Afghan jihad, DG ISI Akhtar Abdul Rehman. This was written by brigadier yousaf, who served as the head of the Afghan cell during 1983-87. Brigadier yousaf wrote another book titled 'The bear trap' which details how the Afghan jihad was managed by the ISI. The book delves into operational details and includes a chapter where he shares exclusive details about Zia ul haq's crash in which Akhtar perished as well.

Picture released of Sirajuddin Haqqani's brother: 'Anas Haqqani' while sitting with the renowned Afghan folk singer 'Nayak badshah zadran.' Notably, the Taliban consider music from amongst the worst sins.

How can the state blame the people of Waziristan if they help TTP? To give an example, just a few days ago, the people of Darpakhel refused to give shelter to TTP and had their tribal elder killed. The state remained silent and the tribals fought the TTP themselves. The tribals who were injured or died fighting weren't even compensated by the state. As a result the people of Darpakhel independently negotiated peace with the TTP. When the state doesn't own these people and they fight for their survival alone, they'll help all those they need to help to remain alive.

For 'national interest' Iran gave intelligence to Israel so they could destroy Iraq's nukes, Iran bought weapons from Israel in exchange for oil to fight Iraq, Iran collaborated with the Americans to topple Saddam, Iran aided America in destroying Afghanistan, Iran committed a genocide against the Sunni population in Iraq and Syria, all for national interest.

Absolutely false. In the words of Iran's president 'Khatami': “The Taliban was our enemy. America thought the Taliban was their enemy too. If they toppled the Taliban, it would serve the interests of Iran.” In the light of this philoosphy, intelligence sharing channels were opened between Iran and the US. Meetings were held in european capitals where IRGC shared intelligence on Taliban positions and strongholds to facilitate american airbombing. Post invasion in 2001, IRGC Quds force commander 'Qassem Soleimani' fought alongside american troops to capture herat and topple the Taliban. Iranian state media openly celebrated the victory, broadcasting celebrations from Herat. According to James Dobbins (acting ambassador of USA to afghanistan) "In Tokyo, one of the Iranian diplomats took me aside to reaffirm his governments desire to continue to cooperate on Afghanistan." Dobbins further adds: "Two months later in Geneva, the Iranians asked to see me on the fringes of another multilateral meeting we were having about Afghanistan. They introduced me to an Iranian general who said that Iran was willing to contribute to an American led program to build a new Afghan National Army." As late as 2020, Iranian foreign minister Javed Zarif said: "the Taliban has committed many terrorist acts, and we have not removed the Taliban from our list of terrorist groups."

A few days ago, tribal leader Saifullah was killed in Darpakhel, north Waziristan by the militants of Gul Bahadur and TTP. The state refused to intervene and the tribals fought and took revenge from the TTP themselves. A few days later, they negotiated a peace agreement with the TTP. When the state will fail to protect against the militants, the only option the tribals will have is either collaboration or peace agreements to save their own skin.

Killings of tribal elders continue in former FATA. This morning, one of the region's most prominent tribal chiefs, Malik Tariq Muhammad Yargulkhel of the Ahmedzai Wazir lost his life alongside two others in an explosion in Wana Bazaar, Lower Waziristan tribal district.

Maulvi Nazir, the feared jihadi commander from Waziristan who fought the TTP and waged jihad against Americans at the same time was also a big fan of football. People close to him tell that he used to take out time especially to watch the FIFA world cup in 2010.

Interesting communication about Pakistan and Afghanistan in the leaked cypher. The Pakistani ambassador says that Pakistan is worried to pick sides on the Russia Ukraine conflict as we need cooperation with all powers for Afghanistan and that includes Russia. He also says that we don't want the Ukraine crisis to divert focus away from Afghanistan. This was said in response to Donald lu expressing displeasure at the Pakistani prime minister's visit to Moscow and Pakistan's aggressively neutral stance on the Ukraine crisis.

🚨BREAKING: For the first time, the original Pakistani cypher — cable I-0678, the document that triggered the removal of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan — is being released in full by Drop Site.

Soviet -Afghan War Samurai 1980
Two famous individuals skillfully orchestrated the creation of the Taliban movement in Kandahar in 1994. They even trained Mullah Omar to claim that 'angels with soft hands' were helping the Taliban. The ISI advisers were undeniably masterful in their execution.

This has no relation with jihad or militancy but I must say the netflix series 'Berlin' which is a prequel detailing the story of the lead character of the renowned series 'money heist' is an absolute banger. Gripping storytelling, top notch cinematography and the icing on the cake are the layered characters and dialogues. All 8 episodes showcase the beauty of Scandinavian life, the dialogues convey themes such as artistic expression as the epitome of the human experience, the divine emotion that's falling in love, it's worth watching. The show is also a reflection of the fact that when one's life lacks the presence and acknowledgement of a divine deity, one's soul is in a state of panic to experience some meaning, some spirituality, some solace. They believe this is all the time they'll ever have, so the soul tries to find peace in art, in love with a fellow human as that's the closest divine energy known to man, but they still remain perplexed as they haven't figured out the origin of all this beauty.

While giving an interview to Pakistani journalist Saleem shehzad, Ilyas Kashmiri said: "We planned this battle to bring the great satan (America) and it's allies into this swamp (Afghanistan). We are sick of the great Satan's global intrigues and aim for its demise to make this world a place of peace and justice." In 2011, Ilyas Kashmiri was killed a few days after the death of Saleem shehzad. Journalist Dexter Wilkins believes that shehzad being so well connected with Kashmiri was tortured by Pakistani intelligence to extract the location of Kashmiri which was then shared with the Americans.

Saif Al adl who's reportedly the head of Al Qaeda after the death of zawahiri was sheltered in Iran before recently moving to Afghanistan. Many AQ families including that of an AQ figure known as 'Haji Sahab' who was close to Al Qaeda chemist 'Abu Khabab Al Masri' are sheltered in Iran till this day. The Iranians have played a shrewd game by leveraging the militants. By providing shelter they prevented attacks on home soil and leveraged the presence of such figures against their arch nemesis America.
