It’s the media’s job to scrutinise One Nation. Unlike the Prime Minister I welcome it. I’m an elected representative and I should be scrutinised. One Nation is probably the most scrutinised party in the country. What I won’t stand for is double standards and outright lies from the media. The Guardian has been caught out purposely manipulating images to make One Nation look “sinister” and now publishing lies. I will always engage with media in good faith, but the Guardian has proven they are completely biased and won’t provide a balanced view - resorting to lies and manipulation to “get us”. Media has great power and with that comes great responsibility to make sure their bias doesn’t get in the way of the facts.

The Rape Gang Inquiry - what happens next. I intend to use my parliamentary privilege to name perpetrators and their enablers in the chamber. This will be done incredibly carefully with our legal team involved every step of the way to ensure that no future prosecutions are jeopardised. We are cooperating with the authorities in order to help cases be opened and reopened, but my faith in the system to independently deliver justice is not high... That is why we are pursuing private prosecutions and civil litigation. A target list has been identified, and it continues to grow. This all has to be handled very carefully, for obvious reasons, but I am determined to act. We have had enough talk, now we need to act. Our aim is straightforward. Put people in prison. It was disgraceful that the National Press Club allowed a protest banner to be displayed during Senator Hanson’s address. Whether people agree with her or not, she was invited to speak and deserved the same respect and courtesy routinely afforded to other political leaders. Freedom of speech includes the right to be heard without organised attempts to disrupt an event. It is difficult to imagine many other figures from the political establishment being treated in the same manner at the National Press Club.

The extremists sabotaged Senator Pauline Hanson today at the Press Club. Someone with access to the building installed this sign behind the stage. It rolled down as she was speaking. Senator Hanson is not safe, everyone dropped the ball, what if it was a bomb? More needs to be done to protect Australia first politicians from the radical extremists. If our security isn’t taken more seriously I’m afraid it’s only a matter of time until something terrible happens to one of us.
