Most allocators I meet with get most of their technology exposure through private equity and venture capital. That exposure is dominated by software, historically 90% or more. The key to not trailing the indices now is changing your market weights to semis. The allocator need to hire semiconductor specialist investors - it’s not a category for generalists, as there’s too much volatility more many investors’ tolerance.
