No matter our political views, we should never lose our humanity. Seeing an elderly woman looking this weak is heartbreaking. Every Ugandan deserves to be treated with dignity, to have access to due process, and to have their rights respected. Our nation was built on the ideals of “For God and My Country.” Those words should remind us that justice, compassion, and respect for human dignity must never depend on political differences. Today I pray for healing, wisdom for our leaders, courage for those who speak with integrity, and peace for Uganda.
