Recovering from the hecticness that was Houston. Guess who made day 2!?! Baby sister — who only turned 6 this January — made her first DAY 2 and got 120 CP points 🥹👏 👏 She took a break during lunch to play in the water fountains and got soaked head to toe. Had to change and rush back to sit down in time for Round 4 ⛲️ Shoutout to our local card shop @SVCardArt for always supporting our community — including baby sister!! 🥰

A successful weekend in Houston! Cal finished Top 16, and Jesse made his 2nd Top 8 of the season, and first feature match! All on my bday, which made for a great present. If only things had gone as well at the airport! 😳 Thanks to @ciaran_tcg @BenryBrand @MistyMountainWI

The most insane airport experience at IAH. We arrived four hours early for our flight and still missed it. Security alone took about five hours. By the time we got through, we were running to the gate, hoping to catch the last flight out Monday night, but no luck. After seven hours of waiting, uncertainty, standing, running, and dealing with some not-so-friendly strangers, Kenji looked up at me and said, “I don’t mean to complain, but I’m so tired, mommy,” and started crying. This broke me so I started crying and hugging him. Just pure exhaustion and guilt especially coming from such a sweet, happy boy. Annabelle stayed so strong the whole time, not showing a hint of defeat, even though I know she was just as exhausted. We ended up spending the night at the airport (because we didn’t want to leave and go through TSA again), finding a somewhat comfy bench to camp out on. Finally secured seats just 30 minutes before boarding. Not surprising that a lot of people couldn’t make their flight. Thank you to @AlaskaAir for the helpful staff on the phone. After nearly 17 hours at IAH airport… we’re finally heading home. ❤️

Is this true? I'm pretty sure Poke Pad from prereleases would be fine to use at Houston and if they aren't allowed I hope everyone on deck check is a homie and is blind to the bottom left corner of trainer cards

@thaDifftcg Trainers don't Include set # in the decklist on rk9. You should be able to use these at Houston

Good news and bad news Good news: poke pad is confirmed to be in POR build and battle with the POR set symbol (meaning it’s a reprint confirmed in the main set) Bad news: reprints aren’t legal until release, so they aren’t legal for Houston (but will be for Seville & Cape Town)

I genuinely was gonna stop playing competitvely but I was able to find my groove again and the right balance between fun/grinding. Sometimes a small break is all thats needed. Appreciate all my friends for keeping me in it. 🥹

@JoshHatter I have a strong conviction about this also. I would expect PokePad x2 in each pre-release build and battle just like they did with Lillie's determination

My thought (hope) is that PokePad is gonna be in Perfect Order (it does have a FA in that set), which means hopefully, they put it in the prerelease decks and since prerelease starts the week before Houston... everything will work out fine 🫡

@LyricOfWisdom I think the bags are the reason I go to PKC! They are so so good and well made!

Going to the Pokémon Center at any event for exclusive merch is great, but keeping the bags for grocery shopping is ❤️❤️❤️

@JudeuYgo +1 there are so many factors that can determine whether you make top cut or not but getting to any kind of Top X is a big deal!

There is no amount of mental gymnastics that will convince me that Top 64/32/16 is not a real top. People that go 12-3 should be very proud and this result should be celebration the same way that it was before

Krish finished 70/362 at EUIC. Missed day 2 but relished both the event and hanging w/ his PokePals from all around the globe! Manage to catch a few London sights and sprinkle some Harry Potter magic (pun intended)! S/o to @ciaran_tcg for his awesome guidance!
