BUDDY PROGRAM | Yesterday marked the first meeting of our Year 2 and Year 7 Buddy Program! The big and little buddies met for the first time, sharing story books, laughter, and lots of sunshine. We can't wait to see these new friendships blossom throughout the year!

Excitement was in the air as #SheldonCollege welcomed Olympic gold medalists Cameron McEvoy, Meg Harris, and Shayna Jack, fresh from their victories at the 2024 Paris Olympics! The athletes were here as part of a photoshoot, & our swim squad were thrilled to meet them!

QUARTER-FINALS | Good luck to our Year 8 debating team progressing to the quarter-finals of the QLD Debating Union competition tonight! These resilient speakers have have worked hard this term developing their impromptu speaking skills, we know they will do us proud!

ECO EXPLORERS | Year 1 had an amazing adventure this week at Jacobs Well Environmental Education Centre! Our little explorers immersed themselves in nature, learning about local wildlife, ecosystems, and the importance of environmental conservation.. #SheldonCollege

STATE CHAMPIONS | Our ASTA Dance Academy Platinum Performance Troupes shone at Dancelife Unite Eisteddfod last weekend. They secured an impressive 1st place in both Lyrical and Jazz, 2nd in Hip Hop, and 3rd in Entertainment qualifying them for Nationals! #SheldonCollege

YEAR 3 MULTICULTURAL ADVENTURE | To wrap up Term 2, our Year 3 students had a blast exploring diverse cultures in our Artscapes facility! They immersed themselves in cultural celebrations. We love seeing our students embrace and celebrate cultural diversity! #SheldonCollege

EMPOWERING OUR STUDENTS | Our Year 12 students recently participated in a Self Defence workshop as part of our wellbeing program. This hands-on experience equipped them with essential skills to stay safe and confident in various situations. #SheldonCollege #SheldonWellbeing

Year 5 students took on a Colonial Australia project last term, working in small groups on script writing, acting, and using editing software, green screens, AI, and holograms. They created educational BTN segments and shared them with younger students. #SheldonCollege

FASCINATING FAUNA | Our Preppies had a blast at their recent Go Geckos incursion! From a timid turtle to a slithery snake, Prep students met a host of Australian fauna, learning a lot about what they eat, how they protect themselves and their habitats. #SheldonCollege

Our JC students have just wrapped up an exciting final week of the Scoot Scoot HPE Unit! This annual favourite is a highlight for our Year 3 students, who have spent the past few weeks cruising around the campus, honing their communication, gross motor & safety skills!

VOLLEYBALL GOLD | Competing in Volleyball Queensland’s Schools Cup Year 10 division, a group of Years 8 to 10 Sheldon College boys played brilliantly to go one better than last year’s silver medal and bring home the gold last weekend. Great effort, boys!
