Looking for resources on decolonizing the classroom. Have a look on our lesson plan page! carolynroberts.net/lesson-plans There is a great resource that talks about how you can decolonize math. This is a question I get asked all the time. Have a look.

February 13 is always hard. My sister should be celebrating her 65th birthday. She never saw 40 and never got to see her girls grow up or meet her beautiful grandchildren. Some years are harder than others. #family #sistersareforever

Remembrance Day, we acknowledge the courage and sacrifice of those who served their country and acknowledge our responsibility to work for the peace they fought hard to achieve. Lest we forget.

@IndigenousHCDSB Did you know many names we hear every day are from Indigenous languages? Mississauga is an Anishinabee word meaning “River of many mouths” Toronto come from a Mohawk word “Tkaranto” which means “where there are trees standing in the water”.

@IndigenousHCDSB Did you know that Six Nations was granted 950,000 acres for their allegiance to the King during the American Revolution. This was for the loss of their settlements in what we now call New York State. The orange is what remains of lands unlawfully surrender.
