@wynrosei I’m so sorry for you loss. My mum died last year and the day after my sisters and I sent a message to her friends group chat (from mums phone) saying she wouldn’t be able to make the next get together as she’s busy exploring her new home. Laughter is the best cure for grief

My mum died this morning. Not at all unexpected and very peaceful at a grand old age. I'm staying at my sister's and, after a couple of hours of reminiscing, her husband came down to breakfast with a cheery: 'Good morning, orphans'. And sometimes you need that sort of humour to lighten the atmosphere. Not for everyone, I know, but we laughed.
