@SASMeatMan The attack animation lock and janky hitboxes on some attack (even in current MH it still exists) i think is the reason the game feels harder than it is.

A common misconception in the MH community is that monsters are just unfair or unreadable the further back you go. This discourages people from going back. The reality is if you actually learn, you can watch this clip and see that this attack was actually clearly telegraphed.
