New firmware for GripVR, a standard controller for SteamVR tracking, is out! This update improves stick precision near the center, reduces accidental touch detection, and fixes jitter when moving triggers or grips slowly. See the image for instructions and give it a try!

The “AddCon+” addon controller for Quest 3 isn’t just for finger tracking. You can assign OSC commands or keyboard shortcuts to its buttons to control avatar gimmicks hands-free. VRChat camera functions like zoom and shutter can also be triggered without gestures.

🎥 You can also update HaritoraX 2 sensor firmware using the mobile version of Shiftall VR Manager. Even if you're using a GX dongle and your PC doesn't have Bluetooth, you can update the firmware this way.

AddCon+ software is getting better. We’ve fixed the finger jitter from our year-end demo—now they move so smoothly. We’ve also added individual finger sensitivity adjustment. (The slight difference between hands in the video is because we’re testing different sensitivity levels)

Fixed an issue since VR Manager 1.9.4 where proximity and geomagnetic sensors failed via Bluetooth, disrupting Mode 1. A fix is implemented in v1.9.13 and later versions. Please switch to the beta branch and try v1.9.13 as shown in the image. We apologize for the inconvenience.

When using the SteamVR Tracking controller "GripVR," the value may unstable when pressing the grip button (middle finger) halfway. We have completed firmware to address this issue and are currently testing it internally. Sorry, but please wait a little while until the release.

New Firmware Rev3 for GripVR is now available. Updates: ✅ Fixed grip button (middle finger) value jitter at mid-press. ✅ Changed calibration mode key combo to prevent accidental triggers. Check the image below for update instructions.

@zig131 GripVR are using Watchman. So every GripVR users can connect it to your HMD (if the HMD embed Watchman ex. Vive, Beyond, Index etc).

@shiftall_global Does GripVR not use Watchman? Can I not simply use the Watchman dongles integrated into my headset, as is standard for every other Lighthouse tracked controller?

If you experience poor tracking with your "GripVR", try connecting it to your PC with a longer USB cable to see if that improves. If it does, it not be a problem with the base station, but rather with the 2.4GHz issue, so please check your network environment. To next post->

If you're OK with wired connections, try connecting the X2 or other dongle with a USB extension cable and bring it within 1 meter(3.3ft) of your play space to see what happens. If you're using a wired HMD, we also recommend plugging the dongle into the HMD's USB port.
