@shildeb8 Lode King or Titan would be my pick. Looked at a Titan last week and I must say I was impressed. It's more $ than a Lode King, but not the 2027's with reverse gates and loaded right up.

@allansoutar @BaldurBarons That’s what we did this year. Had one field that never got rolled due to constant rain. Rained at harvest too so we ran with the buddy wheels down and header tilled forward a bunch to make the lifters pick up the peas. Worked decent scraping them off the ground in the mud.
English

@BaldurBarons No I didn’t but I think it would have worked great last year. I’m gonna look into it this year if it’s dry the contour buddy and lifter would be a great combo

@hamiltondw2 I’d have to measure but I think ours are 12’ apart. No issues. We park some campers, tanker and some tandems in the gap all year long.
English

@Mullin_95 If the ground had all gotten rolled I’d agree but I don’t want to be tipping my header forward on the ground with the rocks
English

@shildeb8 Most say they’re not even worth the hassle

What are the best lifter for a #macdon fd250? Peas are going down and unfortunately only 1/3 of the field was able to be rolled so that’s the reason I’m looking for lifters. Oem ones any good or what’s the best?
English

@bigbushelsag @hamiltondw2 @Denny2point0 Interesting never had that. Will have to give it a try. When the kids ask for kd now I top it up with cheeze whiz
English

@hamiltondw2 @Denny2point0 @bigbushelsag I grew up with cheeze whiz on macaroni. Still my favorite kind of Mac and cheese to this day.
English

@Denny2point0 @bigbushelsag Honestly @Denny2point0 I have never ate KD. Always just cooked macaroni and added Velveta or Cheese Whiz to it. Even to this day we still do the same thing. Easter’s supper today was elk sausage on an open fire and Macaroni. 🤷♂️

English

@hamiltondw2 @BDuchek Yup if you hear that auger laboring at all you better be closing the gate.

Does a 16x104 Farm King take much less HP then a 16x125 Brandt? Looking at getting one but might be short of HP. Was going to put a JD 4840 on it. Neighbour is running his 16x125 Brand with a 6210R and says it hardly has enough power. #AgTwitter
English

@BDuchek @hamiltondw2 We used to run our farm king 16-104 with a 6430 for years haha. Never worry about shear bolts.
English

@BDuchek We use 180hp on the farm king 16-104. Underpowered in wheat but fine for everything else.
English

@shildeb8 Yeah we have a low houred 8225R but don’t want to use it on an auger. Actually it’s rated the same pto hp as our 4840. 180hp

@BaldurBarons @BDuchek @yachtclubmatty @rhofford My seedhawk is a 2015. Seed hose is still all original. Sits outside all year. Not sure how it’s still going but the sun is taking its toll. Fert hose was replaced in 2021.
