been watching @wormhole closely since the start and a year after $W went live, it's clear that besides building infra they're locking in some serious traction by the time token was launched, they already moved $40b+ in assets & passed 1B messaged they r staking across 5 chains, powering stablecoins, & routing assets for @BlackRock / @apolloglobal / @Securitize 🧵👇 → wormhole's real use-case? → institutional validation → stablecoins bet on NTT → multichain governance starts rolling → monetization enters the chat → portal gets a facelift ⚠️ if you missed my previous thread here it is (general): x.com/RaAr3s/status/… let's get it in. ▫️wormhole's real use-case? wormhole quietly took the lead in actual usage. $59B in all-time volume, the top spot in messaging throughput. but the context is what matters: • hundreds of chains are live • tokenized assets are growing fast • onchain AI agents are coming if apps, institutions and agents are all launching products across chains, then someone needs to build the connective tissue. that's where wormhole fits in - and W sits at the center of it. ▫️institutional validation Wormhole didn't just ship new features - it onboarded giants. BlackRock, Apollo, & Securitize integrated Wormhole to move assets cross-chain. even Google Cloud joined the validator set, and AMD is helping on ZK work. Flow Traders became a solver for Wormhole Settlement. these firms are using Wormhole infra in production. i mean, just look at those names... ▫️stablecoins bet on NTT a less visible win: Wormhole's NTT (Native Token Transfers) framework got adopted across stablecoin projects. • Sky used it to launch USDS on Solana • M^0 used it to scale $M across 5+ chains • Agora, DeepBlue, Transfero integrated it to unify multichain liquidity so while new chains & assets launch, Wormhole is becoming the backend for cross-chain liquidity movement ▫️multichain governance starts rolling Era4 is about governance. Era4 = governance rollout + protocol upgrades + user-facing refresh the team built MultiGov - the first real multichain DAO tool - in collab w/ Tally & Scopelift any DAO can soon vote, execute & manage governance across EVMs & Solana. $W stakers are also getting more control via Wormhole Governance - kicking off full protocol decentralization ▫️monetization enters the chat the fee switch is coming wormhole contributors explored revenue models for components like Settlement, Queries, and NTT. they'll start implementing these soon, w/ rewards flowing to W stakers. it's still early ▫️portal gets a facelift one of the last pieces is UX. Portal - the main user app - is getting a redesign. faster swaps, better experience, full refresh. this comes alongside new incentive campaigns, SDK upgrades & tooling for devs. the goal: make multichain apps feel native and fast. ▫️ my 2 cents i like that fact that wormhole doesn't chase the hype cycles, no sudden pivots or AI integrations suddenly just for the sake of hype i'll be covering more often wormhole, so follow me @raares to stay in the loop
