@foolserenade Also I think a lot of characters are better portrayed in the novel - like Perez. My favorite character at the end aside from Tia was Clerivan. He and Tia were a total powerhouse duo.

@foolserenade I'm with you. It was probably the 20th or 30th rofan I've read but it's at the top of my list. I think truly what it boils down to is how much romance you want in your story. I think Tia's familial relationship far outshines the romance and that could be a large con for some.

Whoever said «I Shall Master this Family» was boring just doesn't appreciate cunning smart female protagonists like Florentia. It's been over 5 years since I started it and I haven't lost interest in it even after periods of long hiatus.

@colleensmanga There are a lot of things I would call stupid back at big industry people. Tbh I just enjoy the fact that someone is out there championing shoujo. That alone is a big boost for the demographic no matter what naysayers say.

appreciate that! essentially a big industry person call me stupid this year and I tried not to engage directly but it led to a lot of other people calling me stupid across many platforms and gossiping about me. Essentially I felt like that was EVERYONE's sentiment.

@colleensmanga Adjacent thought: Modern novel publishing is paid for by whale books that provide money for publishers to take chances on new books editors believe the world needs. All I’m seeing from certain manga publishers is that they don’t believe in having more women’s content.

at least one publisher I know of says it is the fans RIGHT to complain and it's the company's job to respond to those complaints capitalism won't 100% solve our issues, it's the cause of them

if you cared about shoujo you'd probably spend more time actually addressing root causes of problems (ie SEXISMM OOOOO) instead of pouting about how every dude bro online might view the fans "complaining"
