McConaughey’s entire formula is to use White, Southern, right-wing-coded aesthetics to deliver Obama-style liberal sermons. It is unbelievably subversive, I am vomit.
Like Obama, he does not attack his opponent as politically wrong, but as morally wrong.
In the speech below, just like Obama’s 2004 DNC speech, he posits that the “good” American still believes in progress. Still believes that America is an idea; still believes in "being a good person", equality, mixed-race pluralism, and an unfinished “more perfect union” that we can all build together if we just keep the faith.
The “bad” American, for both Obama and McConaughey, is someone who has abandoned that faith (the MAGA-type reactionary white American.)

The Mediterranean Sea #heatwave is so severe, I ran out of colors in my color table. Sea surface temps are peaking at 8C/ 15F above normal! Perhaps more impressive is how expansive the area of +6C/ +10°F anomalies are (in white). Much of the water is 29-32C/ 84-90F. The Sea is now record hot for early July beating - you guessed it - the old record set last year. This is obviously a consequence of the most severe heatwave in #Europe history last week.
