PRT I really loved FF2. Didn't love the battle system and its not like the story hasn't been told before but idk. It stuck with me after I finished it. I just really liked it a lot

FF2 is a pretty solid game. Emotional story, epic villain, cool dungeons and Guy speak beaver. The battle system is flawed but it can still be fun. Really ahead of its time. Why tf do I keep seeing it ranked as one of the worst FFs...? FF2 APOLOGISTS UNITE

@cresccentwaves fantasy is my fave genre tho I dont really read much of it? I usually seek out women writers bc idk they usually write female protags and just write them better imo lotr is my fave movie ever and i've never finished any of the books bc they're dense and hard to read :(

the issue is that BOOKS are falling in quality and a ton of published works lately are fanfic-level literature. It's not that fanfics are suddenly better, it's that published books have dropped massively in quality

FF4 is the first FF game to have the ATB timers and it so hard to get used to bc I swear I try to figure out what one character is doing and the next second another is low health or dead jesus
