@CrankyFed internet world is not reflective of reality, but sometimes the two can rhyme.
The angle to study is what happens when people think the internet is reflective of reality. Those people are scary, they see ghosts where there are none. They go on insane crusades and cause a stir.

In jung, the male anima is always Singular. That is the males inborne schema for the feminine principle is a singular Woman, and part of his anima integration is learning to see womEN. Reversely, in the female, the male principle, the animus, is always plural, MEN, and her integration is in the opposite direction, to seperate a singular man out of her plural animus.
This means that to truly see and connect with the outer world, and not just the projections in our heads, and escape solipsistic hell, the male must split his anima into pieces, seperate the singular idealised woman, and learn to speak to them as different people, who are not all just fundamentally the same character he's talking to in different bodies (his mom if you want to be simple or Freudian about it). and the female, to truly see and connect in a real genuine way, must learn to seperate an individual out of the group animus that sorrounds her, and see men as individuals who are not all in a gang or conspiracy against her and don't operate as a uniform mob. But that's Jung, that's just one guy's opinion

covered this topic a while back and the replies were a fever dream.. we spent our whole lives being told don't rely on a man.. be self sufficient. did exactly that. now apparently that's the reason things are broken. there is genuinely no version of us they would be happy with

@YoungPenitent I believe the OCA put out a set of internet guidelines that apply to lay leaders. What are large accounts if not lay leaders?
We also have one nice beautiful book that could provide us all with important lessons.

Saxons have a greater claim for carrying a blade for cultural reasons than any Sikh. Our tribal name literally translates to "sons of the blade", and yet we have been stripped of our birthright to carry one in our own ancestral homeland. Our ancestors are rolling in their graves that their descendants have been turned into slaves (for in their/our culture, being unarmed is a sign of enslavement). Reviving this ancient rite must be one of the outcomes of our tribal awakening, to honour our ancestors. More blades on British streets, not less! Side note: the second amendment is the spiritual extension of this ancient Saxon custom. The right to bear arms is the difference between a slave and a free man.

@robertlasagna1 I like the idea of llms being an inverted-medium, or anti-medium. It would be thematically perfect for our days, that we create anti-creations. I'll have to think about it more. I think you're onto somethng.

I'm not sure if llms count as a new mcluhanian medium, because as I see it media are all defined by human communication. Say whatever you want about authors being narcissists or whatever, but every previous technology is, at a mechanical level, humans communicating information to other humans. Llms are humans talking to themselves. Then reverting to the old medium, Internet, to communicate to each other "look what I talked to myself about". It's more like an anti-medium than a new one. It breaks the rule that old medium becomes the content of the new medium, and it reverses it, people post screenshots of their llm masturbation/talking to themselves, the new antimedium becomes the content of the OLD medium. Perverse!

@HabemusMalleum It's probably more to do with social media, especially social media like twitter which selects for more narcissistic traits. It fosters a short snippy type of tone of writing, and quick one liners. Discourages thoughtful discussion.
